It’s time once again for another round of What Haven’t I, the guessing game about who I am and what I have or haven’t done. I’ve devoted this edition to that ghoulish time of year, Halloween.
Here’s a reminder, the rules: Post your answers (guesses) in the comments section below, keeping in mind that three of the answers are things that I have actually done, one is something I have not done. That’s it. Post your answers and then check back on the 17th to see how well you did (guessed). The first person to post another comment on the 17th, regardless of how many they got right, AND the best guesser (person with the most correct answers) will both be awarded prizes.
You can’t win if you don’t play so put on those guessing caps and get to work.
1. What costume haven’t I donned for Halloween: a) Sexy scorceress; b) saloon girl; c) Snow White, or d) redneck tourist.
2. What haven’t I served at a Halloween party: a) pizza; b) beer; c) chips or d) Cracker Jack.
3. What activity haven’t I engaged in on Halloween night: a) trick or treating; b) handing out candy; c) playing hide and seek in a cemetary, or d) driving trick or treaters from neighborhood to neighborhood.
- 4. What haven’t I done at a Halloween party: a) played the piano; b) sang a song; c) bobbed for apples; or d) tap danced.
5. What haven’t I watched on Halloween night: a) It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown; b) A Disney Halloween; c) Castle (Halloween edition) or; d) Halloween.
That’s it. Good luck and I’ll look forward to ya’ll stopping back on the 17th.
Word of the Day: Labeaction
Fun Fact about me: I can’t “quirk a brow,” like every single person in every single romance novel can. Am I a freak?
A, A, C,C,D
You stumped me and Google with your word of the day…couldn’t find it!

Ah ha – I’ve stumped you. Well, I’ll have to remember to post the definition when I post the answers.
As always, thanks for your support. I’ll expect to see you back here on Thursday.

1. A 2. B 3. B 4. C 5. D Yup, all random guesses…although a couple were a little more educated than Ms. Patricia’s first random quiz. 🙂

Well welcome the other Colleen. The guessing is getting easier because you’re coming around more. Although, you’d have to have known me a very long time to really know the answers.
You did get at least one right, so we’ll see you back here on Thursday to see how you did.
You don’t think I’d serve beer at a Halloween party? Really? Hmmmm.

I’m going to guess C,C,C,C, D.
I can only quirk my left brow. LOL, not sure what that means!
And I tried Google on the word of the day before I read Coleen’s comment, and yup, stumped here, too. Not even a Wikipedia article came up!

Hi Jennette. Interesting guesses.
I can only quirk both brows at the same time, and by quirk I mean, raise.
Word of the day is a stumper. I’ll reveal the definition on Thursday.
Thanks for playing along.

This is a tough one. I’m going to go with C,A, C, C, D.
I’ve played hide and seek (from security) in a cemetery at night on Halloween. It’s an unforgettable experience. The only reason I put it among my picks is because of the other items it was up against. See? So not easy.
Quirk a brow? LOL I have the feeling like I’m actually doing it, but it’s not really noticeable. So lame. No quirking going on here.
And your word of the day – total stumper. What’s up with that? 😉

Hi Debra. Interesting guesses and interesting strategy. It may have paid off, because you got multiple guesses correct. You’ll have to stop back on Thursday to see how many.
I didn’t think this word of the day was going to be so hard, but it seems to have stumped quite a few people. I’ll reveal the definition from my very old dictionary on Thursday.
Hope to see you Thursday.

So here’s the big reveal, but first, my word of the day quandry. Nobody could find the definition of my word of the day, because I am an idiot and misspelled it. So, I’ve started a new game, Guess The Missing Letter. The word should be labefaction (with an f). I won’t post the definition until the end so if you still want to go look it up – go now.
Here’s the answers to this month’s What Haven’t I: #1 – C; #2 – A; #3 – D; #4 – D; and #5 – D.
CJ got 1 right. Colleen Patrick (since there’s 2 Colleens) and Jennette each got 2 right, but not the same 2. My luckiest guesser was Debra with 3 correct.
So, Debra and first one back are both winners.
Now – the definition of labefaction: a shaking or weakening; overthrow; downfall; to cause to shake.
So there you go. Thanks for playing along ladies.

So labefaction kind of led to a word of the day downfall?? 🙂

Yes, Colleen it did. Labefaction was my labefaction.
Congratulations on being winner #1. I shall forward a prize electronically if you’ll send me a private e-mail reminding me that you were my winner. jansen.schmidt@yahoo.com (don’t forget the dot in the middle of the names).
Thanks and congratulations!

Dang! Only 1 right? My guesses are getting worse…I thought for sure you’d show off your Irish tap dancing skills to the Halloween crowd. Stingy, Patricia. Very stingy.

Sorry CJ. That might happen some day, but up til now it hasn’t.
Keep on guessing girl. You’d have gotten a prize if you’d have been here before the other Colleen, but maybe next time. You’ve gotta be fast over here at the edge of eternity.

Wow. That’s a bummer about the word of the day. It sounds like something I would do. 😀 We could be sisters! Hehehe. Cool. I’m a winner. I didn’t realize we were playing to win something. I’m not surprised by the ones I missed. I haven’t done any of those things either. Those were hard ones.

Yay, Debra. You are also a winner.
I will be forwarding your electronic gift sometime later today. Please let me know when you receive it.
Congratulations!!
