Because it’s almost Halloween, I challenge all of you parents out there to play this trick on your kids.
Come on, you know you want to. Do it and send me the evidence.
Have you ever eaten your kids’ halloween candy? Do you still go trick or treating? What’s the funniest Halloween prank you’ve ever seen?
Thanks for visiting and have a great week.
Word of the Day: jeremiad
Fun fact about me: I’ve never lived anywhere where kids come trick or treating at my house.

Will you have trick or treaters at the Baer House? If so it’s a lot of fun to see the kids dressed and see their costumes – especially the older kids – 12 and up! Their costumes are well thought out and clever. As for eating our kid’s candy, we sneak a piece here and there but I’d never eat it all – maybe toss it out, but never eat it. I’d be in a sugar coma for a while, if I did! We ration their candy otherwise they’d be in a sugar coma! Have a great week and enjoy your Halloween!

I wasn’t suggesting that you actually eat all of their candy, Clay, just tell them you did. Wouldn’t that shake them up a bit?
I don’t think we’ll get trick or treaters here (at least not according to the previous owner), but we’ll see. I’m going to be ready just in case.
Thanks for stopping by. As always, have a fabulous week.

That would be cruel – I’ve thrown some of it out – and they whined! It would indeed shake them up – hope you have trick or treaters ! They’re fun!

LOL DH and I certainly ate from our daughter’s candy, but mostly we eat the candy we buy to hand out at our door, because for some reason, he always buys about 4x as much as we need. Hmmm, wonder why…

What? Buying more than you’ll ever hand out? Who does that? Certainly not anyone I know. (Right.)
I sort of wish I had kids, just so I could pull this prank on them.
Have a great week and happy Halloween!

My dad used to eat my Halloween candy. He still takes handfulls from the candy dish meant for the kids on that day!

I thought everyone did that. That’s the whole reason I buy Halloween candy in the first place. But, I would so love to play this trick on my kids if I had any.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great trick-or-treat day.

That video is hilarious! My husband used to eat our daughter’s candy all the time, but never all of it. She didn’t seem to care that much. Since she’s grown now, I’ll have to find some other kid to use this prank on… 🙂

Buy something your husband loves then play the prank on him. But, he might retaliate so be ready.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful rest of the week.

*wiping my eyes* ~ oh man, I needed that laugh! Thanks for posting the video. When my kids were young we were right into the Hallowe’en scene, but I’m happy to be out of it now. Maybe you should turn Baer House into a Hallowe’en destination!

I would like to turn the Baer House Inn into a Halloween destination but I’m not sure if we’re even going to get any trick-or-treaters. I guess I’ll be finding out. I purchased candy – just in case.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing a smile.

For the last 20 yrs we’ve lived in a neighborhood that just didn’t do halloween. Kids preferred to go trick or treating in other neighborhoods. But we just moved to a new neighborhood earlier this month and I got to hand out candy to kids for the first time since I lived with my parents. So it was new and exciting, no jeremiad for me this year. 😉 Hope your Halloween was fun and that you have a great week!

Thanks for stopping by Colleen and I’m so glad you got to hand out candy. We got nobody here at the inn so we have a huge bowl of candy to consume. Oh darn.
