I don’t know about you, but I hate election years. I’m so not political. I mean, I know what’s right and I know what’s wrong and I certianly wouldn’t want to be Commander In Chief with a country as messed up as ours. But, all of the back-stabbing and pointing fingers and “I’m-better-than-you,” crap is really annoying. Let’s talk issues and solutions not who’s got more accolades or speeding tickets or whatever.
But, enough of my soapbox lecture. Let me just show you, who I’d like to see running this country.
Someone like Dorothy Custer would make things happen. She doesn’t have any excuses, she’s not afraid to work hard and she calls it how she sees it.
What say you? Do you like Dorothy’s healthy outlook on life? Wouldn’t you like to see this little lady in the White House, even for just one day or one week?
Word of the Day: Xeriograft
Fun fact about me: I’m really not very fond of Japanese Lady Beetles.

Dorothy makes a lot more sense than most the candidates I’ve heard. Plus, she plays the harmonica, so she gets my vote. What’s your deal with Japanese Lady Beetles? It’s not like they’re spiders… Have a great week!

Dorothy makes a lot of sense. And I love that she plays the harmonica.
Japanese lady beetles have invaded 3 of my guest rooms. I spend hours vacuuming them up. Now, they’re in my office. Dozens of them crawling around. And they bite. And they make a stain when you squash them. And they stink when you vacuum them up. If they stayed outside I’d like them a lot better.
So, there you have it.
See you soon.

She would probably make a better President than anyone who’s actually running!
I hate election season too, though it’s not until general election that it gets really bad. Then all of a sudden, they start paying a lot of attention to Ohio, and the phone rings constantly (which I do not answer) and people knock on our door… ugh.

Oh my goodness, people actually go door-to-door compaigning in Ohio? I’ve never had that happen. Of course, I’ve always lived out in the sticks of Northern California and none of the politicians even care about that area so . . . but, I wonder what’ll happen here in Vicksburg. I always hand the phone to my hubby when those people call. He likes to yammer at them.
Here’s to a smooth and easy election.

My pick is Jehovah God with Jesus Christ as king and the 144,000 co-rulers which include some of our relatives!

It’s so hard to tell where you stand Terri. (LOL) God is certainly the ruler of all rulers, no question about that.
Good to see you! Hope you’re well.

I agree. That’s why Harry Truman was so good at it – he said it like it was. Folks didn’t appreciate his country wisdom at the time, but time has judged him and his decisions near the best we could have had. He was quite accidental as well, taking the helm when FDR died. I don’t care for any of our choices – but I’ll make a choice and pull bubble in the ballot in March and again in November. We’ll see how it turns out. Have a great week!

Everyone has their favorite President. I think it’s so cool. Not a position I’d want to tackle that’s for sure.
Let’s hope we get headed in the right direction soon, whoever takes the reins.

I’m voting for Dorothy too! Oh, wait … I can’t vote here …
No further comment on the political campaign in the U.S.A., other than to say that this year it simply boggles the Canadian mind.
And those Japanese Beetles? Yuck! I hope they don’t hang around long!
