About a month ago, I posted this: https://jansenschmidt.wordpress.com/2017/02/27/when-life-throws-you-challenges-musings-from-an-exhausted-innkeeper/ which included some photos of a video crew shooting a music video. It was an interesting day and fun to watch the behind the scenes stuff. The crew wasn’t here very long and really didn’t have that much equipment. However, the final product turned out pretty dang good, in my opinion.
It’s kind of cool to see my house and my stuff in the background. Except for the photographs, and the people of course, everything else in the video is mine.
Here is the final product: https://youtu.be/khNoEQFmwW0
What do you think? Pretty neat, huh? Have you ever watched the taping/filming of anything? Have you ever worked behind the scenes in a video or movie production?
Word of the Day: Hallux
Fun fact about me: I was cast in 2 on-camera projects; 1 was an instructional training video and the other was a short, made for school kids, film called Mr. Bjorn’s Gold. It was shot on scene in gold country in California, where I used to live. I played a nun. (Stop laughing.)

Yes and no, but living in Chicago – we took the El over a scene they were filming for the movie Transformers a few years back. Your video, Very cool and it turned out well. It is going to be a great day and fabulous week. Do you have many folks visiting the inn for Easter weekend in Vicksburg?

Not so much for Easter per se, but, we’ve been very busy since the beginning of March. And, I finally got some housekeeping help so that’s huge for me.
I think the video turned out nice as well. It’s fun to see my stuff in the background.
Thanks for visiting. Have a wonderful week.

That video made me all teary-eyed! It was great seeing all the lovely details of Baer House, though. I’ve never worked behind the scenes or watched anything being filmed, but I think it would be awesome to be an extra in a zombie movie, right?!

I think it would be cool to be an extra in any movie! Zombies aren’t really my thing, but I’d give it a go if the opportunity presented itself.
The video was a bit sad yes.
Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome week!

Never been involved in any kind of TV or movie production. But so cool to see your house there – it made a beautiful setting for that video!

I think this house was the perfect place to showcase that song. Especially if folks know how BIG this house is it makes the video sadder because now she’s all alone in this huge house.
Thanks for visiting today. Enjoy the rest of your week. (I miss your posts.)

I was an extra on the movie “Queen of the Damned” (sequel to Interview with a Vampire). The movie is a bit lame but the experience of being on a movie set for 2 weeks was amazing!
Loved the music video btw. Great to see Baer House again. 🙂

You were an actual extra with screen time and everything? That’s cool! I presume it was set in Australia? Or were you visiting abroad and happened to be available?
Thanks for stopping by. Always good to see you.

It wasn’t set in Australia but a lot of movies get filmed here (especially on the Gold Coast in Queensland). This movie was actually filmed in Melbourne, Victoria. The first week was every night all night on the set and the second week it was day shooting. For the entire 2 weeks worth, I get about 10 seconds of air time! But I’m there!

Actually, I starred in several vacation videos. Probably not what you were talking about. Good thing there was no sound, since I stubbed my hallux in one scene!

I knew you were a rock star. Not because you stubbed your hallux either, because you know how to have a good time on vacation.
Have a wonderful rest of the week.

You have to let me laugh about you being a nun. You HAVE to. Did I mention that I have a character who is a nun? Do you have any nunly tips for her. *clutches sides laughing*
But exceptionally cool about the video! May they put you in the credits somewhere and bring you some biz! Your house is so gorgeous.

We are in the credits Miss Jenny – at the end of the video. So, yes, that’s pretty cool.
I have absolutely no nunly advice for you. However, I not only dressed as a nun for my on-camera stint (I had no speaking lines), I also played a nun on stage – not once but twice. Ever heard of the musicals Nunsense and Nunsense II? I was in both of those. I played Sister Amnesia (aka Sister Mary Paul). It was hoot. I loved doing those shows. The costumes were hot and cumbersome, but the show was soooooo much fun. I’ll try to find a photo somewhere and post it.
Nunly advice? From me? Seriously? Now I’m laughing.
Thanks for stopping by. I always LOVE to see you here.
