I subscribe to a lot of Disney related websites, blogs, newsletters, etc., because, hey, I am a Disney geek. That’s right, I love all things Disney. Well, almost all things. I’m not a fan of Dole whips.
I have been to Disneyland and Disney World countless times and every time is like the first. I silently squeal with delight as I walk under those arches into the world of magic that awaits. And it is. It’s truly magical for me. I know a lot of people don’t get it, but like those folks who visit the same beach house or mountain cabin or fishing hole every year, I visit my happy place – Disney!! Disney is my vacation home.
I’ve had some pretty cool experiences at all of the Disney parks, but this has never happened to me. Watch the video and tell me, “what would you do?”
So, how cool would that be? I mean, wouldn’t the rest of the ride just feel phony after that encounter? But, what an encounter THAT would be!!
I know I’d be skeptical at first. I’d just think it was an actor. (I’m hard to convince.) But, if I were ever in a situation where I did encounter the real live Captain Jack Sparrow, I’m not exactly sure what I’d do. Probably race around and get in line again when the ride was over, just to make sure I wasn’t imagining things.
What would you do? Would you believe? Would you want to ride again? Has anything cool like that ever happened to you?
Word of the Day: Pyrheliometer
Fun fact about me: I don’t believe anything I hear and only half of what I see. (I told you; hard to convince.)

Just to show you what a scientific mind I have, I looked up Pyrheliometer and read the definition, and I still don’t know what it does. Apparently it measures something about light, but I’m not sure what. Oh, well, I’d rather be handsome than smart. Oops! 0 for 2!

Dave, the fact that you looked up the word proves to me that you are smart. And, I’ll be honest, I have no idea what a pyrheliometer does either. But, it’s cool to say out loud.
And, for the record, you are a handsome devil despite what “the others” say.
Thanks for visiting today. Have a great week.

helio = sun, meter = measure that much I know and can decipher, but need to look it up, too. Love those challenging words.

Oh yeah, I’d be racing to get back in line! How fun would be that be? Both for the fans and for Johnny Depp!

I know right? I love it when he started laughing. He seems like a cool person. I love that ride anyway, but next time I’m at Disney I’m going to ride it several times – just in case.
Thanks for visiting today. Have a super fantastic week.

Nothing like that has ever happened to me – can’t imagine! But that Dole whip looks good… 🙂

Jennette, the Dole whips are good if you like pineapple and frozen yogurt, slushie things. I’m not crazy about pineapple so . . .
But, wouldn’t it be cool if you went on a ride featuring fake people only to find that one of them was real? That’d be so neat. Or totally freaky. Either way, I’d run around and ride again.
I hope your move/house building is going well. I know that’s often stressful. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

If the mosquitoes stay away, I’ll be on the porch a lot now that it’s stopped raining for awhile. That’s wishful thinking but it sounds good.
I like that you are challenged by my words. Keep looking them up my friend.
All is well in my world. I hope all is well in yours. It seems like the summers are getting shorter so enjoy your time off while you can.
