As you may remember, I mentioned earlier that I traveled not too long ago and, for subscribers to my newsletter, I also mentioned that I’d be blogging about my journey. At the very end of January we spent 3 days at Disney World (yes – again) followed by a 7-night Disney cruise.
Our 3-day Disney land adventure was full of silliness.

And we kicked off our cruise with a pre-sail brunch complete with adult beverages for moi.

Then we set sail for 7 days of fun in the sun. First stop:

Now Hell, is a real place in the Cayman Islands. It even has its own post office so a person can send mail from Hell. That black lava-looking stuff is actually an ancient coral reef. It’s really a very strange place.
From Hell we traveled on to:

That’s right, Disney has their very own island in the Bahamas. Leave it to Disney to buy an entire island right? And almost every Disney Caribbean and Bahamas cruise stops there. Another opportunity to make some money. Go Disney.
I’m not sure if you noticed or not, but once again I’ve been playing around with some free software that allows me to make some groovy photo collages. This program does lots of other really neat stuff, but, of course, you have to pay for the upgrade. I’ll just stick with the limited free version for now. I’m having fun with that.
So that’s it for this Monday version of Blogging From the Edge of Eternity. Have you been to any unusual places lately? Have any spring break or summer vacations planned? You know I love to hear about your adventures too, so let me know the whens and wheres.
Word of the day: Catachresis
Fun fact about me: I’m starting to feel more and more like a “real” author.

I remember the black lava outside of George Town. I remember going to Hell, too. Interesting island.
I always wonder where you come up with strange words like catachresis.

Hell was indeed an interesting place but the most exciting part about my Grand Cayman adventure was driving on the “wrong” side of the road. We had some Jeep Wranglers (part of a tour group) and went exploring along the beach and ended up in Hell. It was fun. I finally got to experience driving on the opposite side.
And I also wonder about the origins of some of these crazy words. Inquiring minds and all.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great week.

Your trip looks like it was wonderful! I especially like the photo of your husband going “duh” with Dopey. 😀
Only place I’ve traveled to lately is Knoxville. This will also be where we go for any spring or summer vacations. My husband and I still have trouble believing we’re going to live there in that house LOL!
Catechreses (or whatever the plural is) can be pretty funny – although I’ve always just called them malapropisms.

Malapropisms is just as cumbersome as catechreses. Words are strange but fun.
I’m excited about your trips to Knoxville. Right now it is sort of like a mini vacation, exploring around you new town and all. I’m sure you’ll get settled right in when the time comes.
Thanks for visiting today. Enjoy the rest of your week.

I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m super-jealous of your Disney cruise. If I was to spend several days on a boat, I’d definitely choose to do it with Mickey Mouse. 🙂 Looks like a fabulous trip! I would never have been able to resist sending everyone postcards from Hell! That’s awesome.

I would have sent some postcards from Hell but I didn’t have any addresses with me. I left my phone on the ship and just traveled with the bare necessities while in port. The only address I knew was my own and where’s the fun in that?
Thanks for visiting today. I hope someday you will get to take a Disney cruise. It truly is the best way to travel.
