It’s been a tough week my friends. Lots of unexpected stuff happening right now. Lots of stuff I have no control over but I’ve tied a big knot and I’m holding on. We all have those life moments.
But, when yesterday evening rolled around and I realized I hadn’t gotten my blog post ready yet, I decided it was time for some uplifting inspiration to get me moving in the right direction. What I found was this short video. I hope it brings you a moment of calm to start your week off right.
What about you readers, what brings you peace during turmoil? Do you find inspiration from videos like the one I shared here? I’d love to know your thoughts.
Word of the day: Oleaginous
Fun fact about me: I am quite often my own cheerleader. I look silly with my pom poms, but I feel empowered.

Life is full of twists and turns and most of the time it works out. Hang in there. I was recently reminded that god gives his most difficult missions to his strongest soldiers. Have faith. Hope to see you soon…I’ll be calling today after school. Peace.

Thanks for the positive vibes Clay. I know that I’m charged with the “impossible” missions because I’m equipped to handle them, but sometimes I wish God had a little less faith in me. Everything will be fine. I just need to practice my patience.
As always, thanks for your friendship.

I think maybe the planets were in a weird alignment or…something, anyway. Last week was crazy for me too and I was ready to either kill something or pull out my hair–and I really don’t think I’d look good bald, so. I have to remember to breathe and cling to that old saying that “this too shall pass”. It’s only temporary and God’s got my back. See how easy that was? 🙂 May this week make for some smooth sailing for us all!!

I certainly hope I get some smooth water soon. I’m getting tired of always being the strong responsible one. I guess that’s why I get all of the extra tough jobs right?
Thanks for visiting and for your positive thoughts. I know I’m not alone.

Things have been crazy for a while now with the upcoming move, and I don’t expect them to settle down for a while afterward. The thing that helps me the most is to remove from my to-do list things that don’t absolutely have to be done. That’s why no blogs from me lately. Good luck to you with whatever you’re going through, and props for getting a blog out!

Thanks Jennette. Everything, and I mean everything, was back-burnered all last week so I’m playing catch-up and it’s a bit overwhelming. I have to establish a new normal for awhile too, but it’ll all work out eventually.
Thanks for rallying around. I need to know I’m not alone out there in the world. You’ve got a bunch of stuff on your plate right now too so you know all about not getting anything done.
Have a great, hopefully stress free, week.

I feel ya, sweetie! It seems as if every day for the past few weeks I’ve had tasks/errands/obstacles that keep me from my writing goals…and I’m about to say goodbye to a major stage of my life/identity as our youngest gets ready to graduate high school and leave the nest. Sometimes the emotions are difficult to keep from intruding upon one’s concentration.
I hope things look up for you soon!

Thanks Kathy. I know I’m not the only one who deals with rotten life stuff, but it’s nice to KNOW I’m not alone. If that makes any sense. Having a kid leave the nest is huge. It’s a big adjustment. Just as suddenly acquiring an aging parent with 75 thousand pounds of emotional, mental, psychological baggage is also an adjustment (raising hand). It’ll all work out.
Thanks for the encouragement. You hang in there as well. We’ve all got each other if we need it. You know where to find me.

Hi Patricia. I’m late with a comment but sorry to hear you are enduring difficult times right now. I couldn’t really tell what the issues were, but based on the last comment it sounds like an aging parent is one of them. I was caregiver to my mother for thirteen years. My brother (only sibling) was nowhere to be seen. It put a lot of stress on my marriage but thankfully we survived. I suffered migraines for almost the entire time. When she passed, they disappeared. I would like to offer my email if you ever want to compare notes, not to mentioned I’d love to get some advice from you about my novel….yep still grinding away. poppyalvah@aol.com.
Keep the faith, my blogging friend.

Thanks Al. I’ll be in touch and you are certainly welcome to contact me any time regarding writing. I love to talk about writing. I’m no expert but I’ve learned a few things along the way. My email is: jansen.schmidt@yahoo.com (don’t forget the dot between the 2 names).
I may need a shoulder to cry on and since you’ve been there, you’ll certainly understand. My dad’s going to be okay, it’s just a temporary thing that I sort of got stuck with because no one else wanted to step up. My dad had a choice to make and he chose me. Lucky me!!!
Anyway, this too shall pass.
Have a great week. We’ll catch up another way another time.
