So . . . apparently, like Roz, Big Brother really IS always watching. And, if he doesn’t approve of your activities, BAM he’ll swoop on in and shut you down until you can prove you’re worthy of Big Brother’s approval.

marketing on typewriterSo I’ve been spending a LOT of time lately learning how to market my book. For those of you who are not writers, let me just say that when you write “the end,” you’re only about a third of the way done with that story. Next comes rounds of editing and proofreading to get it exactly right and then comes the selling part. This is the hardest, yet most important part. After all, what good is a really good book with an amazing cover if nobody knows how to get their hands on it? (more…)

I have a love/hate relationship with technology. When electronics work, they’re awesome. When they don’t work, they suck. I try to troubleshoot on my own but the only thing I gain by doing this is a headache. I’m easily frustrated when it comes to technology.

grey hair

I know I’m getting older and my memory isn’t what it used to be. But, I try to be careful in my daily dealings. I’m not inclined to forget things if I write them down, but it still happens. I’m a list maker so I don’t forget to accomplish certain chores that must get done. And I’m not one to lose things. (more…)

woman screamingNothing – and I mean NOTHING – makes me more crazy frustrated than computer problems. I HATE computers. No, strike that, I hate computers when they don’t work. I’m not computer literate. I can accomplish wonderful things with the limited amount of knowledge I possess. But, when things go wrong, I am totally lost and immediately frustrated. And that’s putting it mildly. Very mildly. Very, very mildly. (more…)

I’ve been playing around with some of the features on my laptop in an attempt to learn how to do more cool things. I know I can record videos from my laptop, but I haven’t figured out how to do that yet. Late last year I learned about the “paint” feature on my computer and how I can alter photos. I’m still not very good at it, but I’m learning.

A couple of weeks ago I started playing around with my Power Point program and created my very first slide show. It’s very amateurish and kind of boring, but I enjoyed learning how all of the cool features work with this program. My experiment is uploaded below. Just click on the link and wait a few seconds for it to up load on your computer, then enjoy. I’m hoping to post more of these things in future and hopefully they’ll be a little more interesting. I may even figure out how to add mucic and stuff. For right now, this is my accomplishment. (Please note that the following download may not be compatible with all operating systems. Sorry.)

Enjoy! And as always, thanks for your support.

P.S. I’m not sure what the cinnamon roll has to do with spring, but there you go.

What’s the last new thing you attempted to learn? Are you a computer geek, who loves this kind of technology?

Word of the Day:  Enceinte

Fun fact about me: My driver’s license photo is almost 12 years old. They just keep sending me new ones.
