I’m sure I’ve said it before, but I’m saying it now anyway – I love champagne. It’s one of my favorite beverages. I can drink champagne any time of the day, any day of the week, for any special or non-special occasion. It’s a very versatile beverage. You can drink it straight, mixed with juice, in cocktails or even frozen in a slushie. What’s not to love?

Sometimes it really is the smallest, simplest things that bring the most joy. Call me silly, but I was gifted with a box of old napkins from a woman here locally, and it just brought me so much joy. The lady said she was cleaning out drawers and cabinets from the house of a family member who had passed away and she uncovered dozens and dozens of old linens. Being a single lady herself, she had no use for that many napkins so she asked me if I could use them here at the inn.

Lately I’ve noticed a super large increase in the amount of unsolicited phone calls on both my home (the inn) phone and my cell phone. Despite being on all of the “do not call” lists, auto rejecting, and blocking unwanted numbers every – single – time, I continue to get annoying phone calls from telemarketers. All day long. (more…)
