Sometimes you have to be your own doctor. After all, that’s why WebMD was created right? Self-diagnosis is great, but dangerous at the same time. Sometimes when I’ve been looking something up on that site I’ve been led astray and ended up believing I had numerous contagious diseases and bizarre medical conditions that I must immediately seek treatment for or I just might die. But, not this time. This time, I was right on the money with my self-diagnosed syndrome.

I want to go back. Back to the good old days. Not that I want to be younger or actually GO back in time, but rather I want things to stop changing. I like stuff the way it currently is or used to be. Some things nowadays are designed to make our lives easier, but they just make it harder. And when things break down, it takes a skilled technician, two weeks and a thousand dollars to fix them.

Do you ever wake up at night and wonder why in the heck you woke up? I sure do. Quite often. A couple of nights ago, my eyes were closed, it was dark, I thought I was asleep but it dawned on me that I was thinking random weird thoughts and wondering why in the world a certain odd song was playing over and over in my head, followed by “and why in the heck am I even awake?” (more…)

Well folks, it’s that time of year for me – time for all of my annual check-ups. When I was younger, this was something old people did, not me. I guess that makes me officially – old. But, it’s important to get tune-ups as we age. Stuff starts to break down and degenerate from all the wear and tear of life. Preventative medicine goes a long way in this day and age. (more…)
