Happy new year! Grand tidings for brighter, more peaceful days. Only 75 days until spring officially starts! I think we’ve all breathed a sigh of relief that we’ve made it through 2020. That is behind us. Done. Gone. The End. Time for a new beginning. A new year. A new opportunity. Every day is a chance to make a fresh new start.

So many people are reeling, angry, and despairing these days. It’s no wonder. We’ve all been thrown into a situation that we’ve never been in before. Hello friends. This week I’m out in the world focusing on the good, trying to be the best possible version of myself that I can be. I’m exploring and refilling my creativity well. Nothing like a little adventure to lift your spirits and clear your head right?
But, because you all know I’m a giver, I’m not going to leave you hanging here with nothing this week. You’ve come to expect greatness, silliness and just plain weirdness from me so I’m not going to disappoint now.

So, I’ve hired help here at the inn. The workload was getting to be too much for a single person to handle. I thought this situation would free up some time for me to get back into the habit of writing. I thought that. I really did. (more…)

My heart is heavy and I am saddened as I write this blog. Sometimes blogging material comes easily and quickly, other times I have to coax it out of nowhere or dig it out of bedrock. This week I had lots of things I wanted to blog about, but my spirit kept taking a beating and I didn’t have the emotional strength to post those things. I generally try to avoid controversy and I always try to take the high road. So, I guess that’s what I’ve decided to do by tackling more important issues – self-worth and ignoring haters. (more…)
