I’m not really a cat person. Never have been. There’s just something kind of creepy about cats. I think it’s their eyes. Or the way they think they own the world. I don’t know, I’ve just never felt a connection with a cat the way I have with dogs or horses or baby goats.

I’ve blogged before about oddball things that have happened here at the Baer House Inn. In fact, just a couple of weeks ago you learned of my weird napkin findings. And, I’ll reiterate that most guests are very polite and respectful of my house and my things. But, there are a few things that people do that are just, well in bad form. There’s something special about a front porch. Front porches come in all shapes and sizes; there’s one for every taste. I’ve always loved porches, front or back. I’m blessed here at the Baer House to have a front porch, 2 back porches (first and second level) and a balcony on the second floor in the front of the house. (more…)
