Like so many other people these days, I’ve had a lot of heavy issues taking up space in my brain. Most are about survival, both physically and economically, and some are about discipline as it relates to staying focused and positive. Trying to be creative right now has certainly been a challenge for me. And avoiding the negative is downright impossible if you spend any time on social media. (more…)

I’m all messed up. Daylight Savings always affects me, no matter if we’re springing forward or bouncing back. Losing sleep, gaining sleep, whatever, my body always feels like I’ve traveled across several time zones, slept 3 hours in each before moving on, sometimes forward, sometimes back. And it doesn’t help that I just returned home 3 days ago from a different time zone. I spent almost 2 weeks one-hour ahead of my normal zone, returned to my regular zone, then sprang ahead for Daylight Savings. I’m all mixed up. I feel like I need sleep all the time. (more…)

Do you ever wake up at night and wonder why in the heck you woke up? I sure do. Quite often. A couple of nights ago, my eyes were closed, it was dark, I thought I was asleep but it dawned on me that I was thinking random weird thoughts and wondering why in the world a certain odd song was playing over and over in my head, followed by “and why in the heck am I even awake?” (more…)
