So last week I was a little uninspired with regard to blogging. I have to say, not much changed this past week. I sat here staring at my Gravator wondering what witty words of wisdom I could pass along to you, my lovely blog followers. I sat, and sat, and sat.
And then I found this:
How freaking cool is this kid? I think ’nuff said.
You’ve just been pep-talked. Now get out there and dance.
Who encourages you? Would you vote for this kid to be President?
Word of the day: nonce word
Fun fact about me: My belly button’s an inney.

That kid is awesome, love his message and delivery. Thanks for posting this bit of inspiration, Patricia!
My favorite Nonce word is supercallifragilisticexpialidocious. 🙂

Hi Colleen and that is the perfect nonce word.
I love this kid. So much so that I am now following him on YouTube. He’s on point and funny at the same time. His deadpan humor cracks me up.
Thanks for swinging by today.

I love the video! I’ll keep his words in my mind, any time I need a smile. “You’re gooder than that, so don’t be boring.” 🙂 I’m going to show this video to my class of 5th graders, who are all doing NaNoWrimo this month!

This kid is amazing. When I saw the video I watched it several times because I kept missing stuff the first time around. He’s awesome!
I’m glad you’re going to share it with others. That’s the whole point of the video. Good for you.

I’d totally vote for that kid! Life is a cereal…. Not cool, Robert Frost…such words of wisdom. And sometimes a video is perfect for a blog. Just sayin’. 🙂

I would vote for this kid, too. He deserves to be President with that amazing attitude. And I love his deadpan humor. Michael Jordon’s not a quitter, well he did quit – priceless.
Thanks for stopping by and I agree, videos are a great way to avoid posting a real blog. This kid is so much better than anything I could have written anyway.

I’m glad you did, Suzanne. I think that’s what he intended with his project (at least that’s what he says at the end of the video).
I hope your class likes it and your blog followers, too.

“You’re gooder than that…” 😀
Thanks for the perfect pep talk. That kid is totally awesome. – using some of his own words.
I am often uninspired when it comes to blogging. Maybe it’s because we pour soo much into our writing, holding nothing back, we leave nothing left over for the blog. That’s my theory, anyway. Sounds good, right?
Great word of the day. Coleen gave an example of a great one. I’m hard pressed to think of a better one.

I’d have to say “gooder” is a nonce word. That kid is gooder than most. I hope he goes on to accomplish great things. “Like that Dude Journey says, ‘don’t stop believing . . ‘” Love it.
And, I’d have to agree with you about our creative energy getting exhausted on other projects. My brain is practically exploding with ideas for my books, I almost can’t write them fast enough, but for some reason, lately, my blog feels like it’s suffering. That’s why I’m so glad I found this kid. He made my whole weekend.
Thanks for stopping by today, Debra. Have a great week.

Who said you’re uninspired Patricia? We grasp at all the inspiration we can get these days. I know myself that I can take the blogging too seriously. I have to remind myself that it doesn’t need to be a masterpiece. But I always feel like I could have done gooder. lol. Keep those great ideas rolling my friend. And have a wonderful week! 🙂

Patricia, that was perfect! What a cute kid…using Robert Frost and re-writing Journey lyrics, all while kicking around a football…in a suit and tie, no less. Awesome. Thanks for the pick-me-up!

Thanks Kathy. This is exactly what I needed to kick me in the butt. Out of the mouths of babes, huh? Yes, the suit and tie were adorable. It’s his Kid President image. Every video I’ve seen of him, he’s wearing a suit and tie. This kid is destined for greatness.
Yeah, that Journey Dude – too cute. Not cool Robert Frost.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoying a little bit of awesome!

This kid is so cute and inspiring. I know there’s an adult behind the scenes, and whoever it is should be commended for teaching this kid all of the wonderful stuff he’s saying in his videos.

Patricia, you come up with great inspiration!
I never knew there was a term for “nonce words” – but my favorite is one my husband made up: “kwal.” That’s his dyslexic pronunciation of “kewl” – and in my family, something that’s “kwal” is one step above “kewl!”

Hi Jennette:
Thanks for taking time away from NaNo to swing on by the Edge of Eternity. Isn’t KidPresident cool? I watch this video at least once a day. It cracks me up and inspires me at the same time.
“Kwal.” Love it. I can see you guys hanging out doing really kwal and kewl things.
