Okay, I know it’s been a while since you’ve seen a post about my crazy life experiences, so here’s the final What Haven’t I for the year.
By now you should all know the rules, but just in case you’re new here – and if so welcome new friend – here’s the low down: Post your guesses in the comments section below. Three of the answers are things that I have actually done, one is something I have not done. Your job is to guess what I haven’t. It’s simple, but you can’t win if you don’t play so put on those guessing caps and get to work.
By way of reminder, the first person to post another comment on the 12th, regardless of how many guesses they got right, AND the best guesser (person with the most correct answers) will both be awarded prizes. If you got the most correct answers, but you fail to check back, your prize will be forfeited, so it’s important to check back.
Let’s just get right to it.
1 – What haven’t I made from scratch: a) doughnuts; b) lemon curd; c) Hollandaise sauce; or d) candy apples?
2 – What haven’t I built: a) a bookcase; b) a doll house; c) a snowman; or d) a gingerbread house?
3 – What malady haven’t I suffered: a) shingles; b) measles; c) mono; or d) chicken pox?
4 – What haven’t I lost money on: a) baccarat; b) poker; c) craps; or d) roulette?
5 – What church haven’t I visited for services: a) Mormon; b) Jehovah’s Witness; c) 7th Day Adventist; or d) Catholic?
The answers will be posted in the comments section on December 12, so mark your calendars and check back to see if you’re a winner. Remember, the fastest and the best guesser will both be awarded prizes.
Word of the day: Regosol
Fun fact about me: I have played a nun both on stage and on screen.

Yay! I love these games, even when my random guessing isn’t so hot.
1. d I bet you haven’t made candy apples from scratch (lemon curd is just too random, so I’m suspicious).
2. b Dolls? Pfft.
3. a (hopefully) Measles, chicken pox, and mono are enough torment for one person.
4. c Never could figure out craps, but you’re probably way smarter than me.
5. a Don’t you have to be cleansed or something to go into a Mormon church? Not saying you’re dirty or anything…

Oh Colleen, I love the reasoning. I guess we’ll have to wait until next week to see how well that paid off for you.
Probably didn’t play with dolls because I wasn’t cleansed and I wasn’t cleansed because I was too busy gambling, or being sick, or making things from scratch.
I’ll see you next week. (And I think you have to be cleansed to go into the Mormon Temple, not just their random churches, but I could be wrong about that.)

I’m guessing d, b, a, a, b. Just a wild guess!
Never heard of regosol! That’s one I can’t imagine ever needing to use. 😀

Hi Jennette – wild guess, huh? Hmmmm. Not to shabby.
Not needing regosol? Maybe you already have it and you just don’t know it. Have you tested your soil recently?
Thank for stopping by. We’ll see you next week.

Considering my fascination with farming/farm life, I’m wondering if I will have to familiarize myself with regosol.
Do you still have the nun costume? If so, you should wear it for the Sound of Music event tonight!! 🙂

Alas I do not have either of the nun costumes as one belonged to the theater and the other to the wardrobe department at the production company. I do still have my nun puppet (Sister Mary Annette) from Nunsense II, however. She was a lousy singer though. She will not be joining me tonight in front of the television.
Check back next week to see how you did with the guessing.

Ooh. These are kinda fun. Unlike last time I won and forgot to check back, I’m now subscribed to receive your posts via email instead of just through my reader so I can’t miss it. 🙂
Here are my answers:
1.) C
2.) C
3.) B
4.) A
5.) D

Shame on you Kitt, but I’m glad you’re going to be in the loop from now on.
Not bad guessing, you’ll have to check back on the 12th to see how bad – I mean how well you did.

So today’s the day and here they are – the answers you’ve been waiting for:
1 – D – I have never made candy apples. It just seems so hard to me.
2 – B – I have never made a doll house.
3 – B – I have never had the measles. Even though it’s considered an old folks malady, I had shingles when I was 25. And yes, it hurts like hell so don’t get it.
4 – A – I love to gamble but have never attempted to play baccaret. CJ the fact that I play craps does not make me smarter than you. I’m smarter for other reasons. (HAAAAA)
5 – C – I have never attended a 7th Day Adventist service, although I did attend a Christmas pageant there a couple of years ago. The only reason I’ve attended a Mormon service is because I dated a Mormon guy for a little while and thought I’d see what it was all about. Catholic mass at Christmas is long and, let’s face it, boring. Jehovah’s Witnesses are just weird.
So there you go. How’d you do? I’ll tell you:
Jennette got 3 right so she’s a lucky winner!
Kitt and CJ each got 2 right.
Colleen and Debbi (this one shocks me cuz my friend Debbi knows me pretty well) got zero correct, but either of them can still win if they are the first to comment back.
Good luck winners and thank you everyone for playing.

Zero. Well, if there’s two things I think I will remember from now on, it’s that you’ve made doughnuts and lemon curd. Yum.

Yay, Colen (I’m sorry i keep spelling your name wrong. One day I’ll remember.) I shall be forwarding your prize early next week (after pay day) and I will send it to the correctly spelled e-mail address this time.
Congratulations!!
And keep trying. There’s really no way anyone would have known all of the answers, that’s why it’s such a fun game, you have to try to figure out what craziness I’ve done.

Both Coleens got zero? I sense a conspiracy going on here, Patricia.

No – CJ you got 2 right. There’s no conspiracy, but this does confirm that I’m smarter than you. (Kidding)
Perhaps you misread my comment?

Duh-oi. Is it Friday yet? My eyes are glazed over. Apparently. Off the conspiracy hook this time, but I’ll be watching closely for anything anti-Coleen.

Do you spell your name with only 1 “L” as well?
Sheesh, now I have to remember it twice.
And there is no anti-Coleen, Colleen, Colene, Colen conspiracy. Or is there?

I’m a one “l” Coleen too…although I’ve become accustomed to just accepting most people will use two and call me Call-een instead of Coe-leen. They’re all part of the conspiracy. I’m sure of it.

Wow! Another one L. Mine is pronounced, “Cah-leen” which of course makes no sense the way it’s spelled. My mom said she wanted my name to be different and dropped an L. 🙂

Mine’s Patricia – with one “t” and it’s pronounced Pah-trish-ah. Nothing weird about that. My maiden name was always mispronounced and a lot of people mispronounce my married name, although I’m not sure why. It’s Rick Rode, just like it looks. My husband gets called Mr. Rode a lot though.
So, you Coe / Call leens with 1 “L” are weirdos, always stirring the pot, rocking the boat, blaming your mothers. Whatever.
I love you both. Thanks for sharing. Should we ever meet, I shall do my best to pronounce your names correctly, even though they’re spelled wrong.
