It’s 2020 ya’ll! Here we are in the first official week of January in a brand new decade. That should make you feel good. (Since this post went live, I have edited it, referring you to the first comment by Mr. Walker below. That said, I stand corrected – you are not welcome to a new decade.) But, at least the awkward teen years are behind us. Whew! It’s onward and upward from here. My hope is that each and every one of you finds the good in everything that life has to offer. Don’t sit around and wait for it to come to you – go out there and get it! As Roman poet, Horace, said? “Karpe Diem!!” Although he probably didn’t use the exclamation points. (more…)

About a month ago I blogged about the importance of a good title, in relation to articles and books. A lot of that post was poking fun at embarrassing headlines from newspapers, but the point got made – how something is titled is important. Because I’m on the brink of publishing my first novel, I’m at the point where I need to start making some very important decisions about not only titles, but the items that will make or break someone’s decision to buy my book. The items that create a good first impression. The things that will make my book stand out from the rest on an already crowded shelf. (more…)
