I love this country. I’m proud to say I’m am American. Our country is in turmoil right now. I don’t care what your political persuasion is, if you live in this great country, I believe you should honor it and take care of it. We’ve been through a lot of struggles over the years, and mistakes were made along the way, but we’ve survived by sheer determination, often at great cost. Let us never forget the struggles and sacrifices of our forefathers to build this amazing country. And let us always continue to put our best foot forward to keep it a powerful and thriving home to be proud of.

Here’s to Old Glory – long may she wave.

I love the 4th of July! It’s one of my favorite holidays. I’ve said it before, several times, I love all things patriotic. Patriotic music always makes my chest swell with pride. Putting my hand over my heart during the national anthem reminds me of all the sacrifices our founding fathers endured so that we can have the freedoms we enjoy today.

fireworks courthouseSo here we are on the cusp of another Independence Day holiday. For most folks this simply means a day off with pay. For some it means a full day of work at time and a half wages. For others it means a trip to the lake, the mountains, or the backyard swimming pool. It often includes BBQ, iced cold beer, ice cream and other yummy backyard cuisine. (more…)
